Beware of Impulse!

While in the bank last week, I couldn’t help but notice the candy bars and gummy bears being advertised at the teller’s station. This really got me thinking about how many of us fall victim to making an impulse purchase in which we never intended to make. Although the purchase may be small, the cost of those extra calories will quickly add up. Make a deal with yourself to only purchase food from the grocery store or a restaurant. Just say no to impulse purchases at the checkout line.

Greetings all,

I am so excited to be sharing my passion for fitness and wellness with you. I will begin by sharing one of my favorite scriptures with you. “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” This is proof that God’s desire is for us to be whole, to be prosperous, and to be in good health. Let’s talk for a moment about health. Being healthy isn’t a number on a scale or a specific percentage of body fat. But instead, achieving total health and wellness is a journey that we much each take in order to achieve this level of wholeness that God so richly desires for us. This journey is made up of our daily choices.

Ask yourself the following questions:

What foods are you putting into your body on a regular basis?

Do you challenge yourself physically or are you consistently active?

Do you get adequate rest every night?

Hopefully you can answer yes to each of these questions, but if not – set some realistic goals and begin making some changes in your life right away.
